Party members and government officials in Tai'an, East China's Shandong province started to delve into the two sets of disciplinary rules and norms of conduct released during the Sixth Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Oct 27.

The two sets of rules and norms are part of the Party leadership's strategic design for the nation's long-term governance, and will act as a system for securing and facilitating institution-building for a cleaner Party.

Tai’an CPC members agreed that the Sixth Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee demonstrated well the Party’s unflinching efforts and responsibility in enforcing stricter Party governance.

The huge changes brought about since the introduction of stricter Party governance three years ago have received praise from Chinese citizens, and have also accumulated powerful energy for the Party and the country as China embarks on the next phase of her development.

Tai'an CPC members also expressed their resolution to learn and implement the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee through their daily work; more closely unite around the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core; and make a bigger contribution to realizing the Chinese dream of national rejuvenation and Tai’an’s further development.

A retired official said that it is essential for the Party to strictly govern itself. He also expressed his hope that government officials will act in accordance with these rules, and strengthen the relationship between the Party and the masses as they struggle to build a harmonious society together.

A village official in Tai’an expressed his determination to learn and implement the spirit of the session, and make efforts to create a prosperous future for the village.

A young Party member also showed his resolution to serve the people, saying that it is a major political task, duty and responsibility to keep the spirits of the meeting in mind and fulfill its spirit through his daily work.
