Some of the better-known companies in Shanxi province put hundreds of their products on display at an exhibition in Anhui province, on April 9.

As a part of a larger Shanxi brand tour dating back to 2013, which displays Shanxi's culture and products as well, the exhibition was held simultaneously with the 8th World Health Maintenance Conference, in the city of Hefei.

The exhibition had a traditional Chinese medicine doctor along to introduce health maintenance brands of Shanxi and an interactive program for local visitors to let them experience Shanxi products.

This year, Shanxi is focusing on the stories behind its products and its historic culture, folk arts and handicraft. In the words of Sun Yuejin, head of the provincial Commerce Dept, "This is a trip to rebuild Shanxi's image, to restructure the economy of Shanxi, and to spread the culture of Shanxi."

The tour organizers have already held 24 activities in 20 provincial capitals, as well as Macao and Hong Kong over the past three years.
