There is a new Mount Fenghuang (Phoenix) Eco-tourism Park, a AAAA national tourist spot, at the foot of Mount Wutai, Shanxi province, with a large botanical garden and a 1000-year hot spring that combines ecological tourism, recreation, accommodations, restaurants, shopping, and conference facilities.

It sits, at the junction of Xinfu, Dingxiang, and Yuanping counties and is a key national agricultural resort and geological site for northern Shanxi, near a number of scenic spots, including the Shanxi merchant culture path, and Yanmenguan Pass on the Great Wall. It is 8 km from the Datong-Yuncheng Highway, 10 km from the Mount Wutai airport, and has convenient transportation.
