The academic sub-forum of the fifth Shanxi Technology Promotion Forum was recently held at Shanxi University in Taiyuan, capital city of northern Shanxi province, according to SXU officials

The forum, sponsored by the Shanxi Provincial Science and Technology Association, aimed to promote the high-quality development of sci-tech journals in Shanxi with the help of science and technology innovation and integration.

It was attended by around 50 representatives from the province’s journal sector.

At the forum, Zhang Tiancai, vice principal of Shanxi University, discussed the administration and development of Shanxi University’s academic journals.

Doctor Hu Xiaoyang from Hubei University Journal gave an academic journal entitled Research on the Development of China's Academic Periodical Funding Policy System in the Context of Building a World-Class Scientific and Technological Periodical.

Hu presented the background of China's "Building a World-Class Scientific and Technological Journal" and discussed various related support policies recently introduced by China.

He also looked at the establishment, declaration, review and project approval process of the China Technology Periodical “Excellent Action” Program.

In addition, Wu Chen, vice general manager of cnki.net — the electronic magazine of China Academic Journal -- delivered a speech on the role and functions of academic portraits in journal data analysis, expert selection reviews and others.
