Zhao Liming, professor from East China University of Science and Technology, was appointed as a visiting lecturer of Shanxi University (SXU) on June 6. Gao Jie, associate professor from Hebei Agricultural University gave an academic report during the day.

Professor Zhao vividly presented to teachers and students the close relationship between the development of human history and food, and described the importance of the food industry in human development and the national economy.

Zhao mentioned about the accumulation of non-alcoholic fatty liver lipids, the plant immune-inducing effect, the application of chitooligosaccharides in the animal nutrition field and the development trend of chitosan products, which have enabled teachers and students to have a better understanding of chito-oligosaccharide and the multifunctional oligosaccharide.

Gao Jie introduced the mode of human intestinal flora, the subsequent study of fermented milk on lipid metabolism in the intestine flora, and the body fat metabolism, with a discussion on approaches to effectively reduce the body fat in rats.
