Trademark strategy brings farmers more income
A trademark strategy implemented in Hunyuan county in Datong, Shanxi province, has positively promoted the agricultural efficiency and increased farmers'annual income.
The local government has helped the farmer cooperatives register nine trademarks and file three applications.
In recent years, the local farmer cooperatives have witnessed a vigorous expansion. The number of this organization has reached 247 with a total registered capital of 247 million yuan ($38.8 million).
The businesses range from equipment purchase to agriculture products processing, as well as breeding, planting and information services.
The government also regularly invites experts and specialists to assist in technical support so that farmers can optimize the favorable soil and climate conditions in Hunyuan.
The county’s branded cereals have sold to other areas such as Shuozhou and Xinzhou.
