Shanxi plans to invest 43.4 billion yuan ($6.47 billion) in building highways, airports and industry hubs in 2019, according to an announcement from local authorities on Feb 26.
The province will resurface 100 kilometers of highways and connect one inter-provincial road.
Rural roads and tourist roads linking tourist attractions related to the Yellow River, Taihang Mountains and the ancient Great Wall, with a total length of 25,000 km are included in the construction plan.
In addition to roads, six airport construction projects will be started this year.
