Steel products produced by Taiyuan Iron and Steel Group stole the limelight at the tenth Stainless Steel World Conference & Exhibition (SSW Expo) which opened in Maastricht, the Netherlands, on Nov 28, according to local media.
The three-day expo, highlighting promotion of stainless steel products, ran until Nov 30 and attracted wide participation from companies based in Europe and Asia.
Based in Taiyuan, Shanxi province, Taiyuan Iron and Steel Group (TISCO) is one of the leading enterprises in the global stainless steel industry and it is involved with iron ore mining, steel production, processing, distribution and trade. The company has an annual capacity of 12 million tons of steel (of which 4.5 million tons is stainless steel).
The company has won national-level honors including China Grand Awards for Industry, and the National Quality Award, as well as featuring in the Top 10 Chinese Enterprises for Innovation following years of growth and upgrading.
