There will be a Shanxi Brands China Tour exposition in the city of Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province, Aug 23 – 26, after already visiting Beijing and Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, to put Shanxi province's most famous brand on display in South China.
This third stop will be at the China Import and Export Fair Complex, in Guangzhou, where the 21st Guangzhou Fair is also being held, according to a news conference on Aug 16.
It's a four-day event, organized by the Shanxi Departments of Commerce and Finance and Guangdong Commission of Economy and Information Technology. The exhibition area covers 1,000 square meters and the organizers have carefully chose 46 enterprises, who will have 1,200 products on display, including Fen Wine, mature vinegar, walnuts, dates and handcrafts. Some quality tourism routes and scenic areas will also be announced at a promotional event.
Shanxi's Department of Commerce and its Guangzhou office are expected to sign a cooperation agreement, and Shanxi will formally establish a brand products sales center in Guangzhou. During its Beijing and Hohhot visits, the Tour ended up with sales worth 3.3 million yuan ($535,372) and signed 77.1 million yuan worth of contracts, greatly increasing the awareness of Shanxi's brands outside the province.
