The Shanghai Metro Line 14 opened to the public on Dec 30, with six stations located in Jiading district.
The six stations are Fengbang Station, Lexiu Road Station, Lintao Road Station, Jiayi Road Station, Dingbian Road Station, and Zhenxin Xincun Station.
The first train on Line 14 departs from Fengbang Station at 5:30 am and the last train departs at 10:30 pm. It takes less than 15 minutes to travel from Fengbang Station to Zhenxin Xincun Station, which are the two end stations in Jiading district.
Passengers on Line 14 can transfer to Line 1, 2, 3, and 4, which brings a load of convenience to Jiading locals commuting to other places in Shanghai.
The stations on Line 14 are equipped with an array of facilities. For instance at the Fengbang Station, there are accessible elevators, unisex toilets, and telephones for passengers to make emergency calls, according to Cai Hao, the manager of the station.
The ticket machines at Fengbang Station have two types, one that is 57 centimeters wide for light travelers, and one that is 94 cm wide is to facilitate passengers with luggage or for people who have special needs, Cai said.
