The Jiading Overseas Returnees Incubation Park is one of the "One District, Six Parks" by the Shanghai High-Tech Industry Development Zone. It is also part of the first batch of overseas returnees incubation parks approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and Ministry of Education. With the largest number of overseas returnees compared to all the other overseas returnees incubation parks in China, its industry ranges from electronics, communication, network design, new materials, biomedicine, environment, CI design and financial investment.

The park, covering an area of 426,000 square meters, has incubation office and industry office buildings with a construction area of 30,000 square meters. Its supporting service center covers an area of 1,600 square meters. There are more than 600 enterprises in the park, two post-doctoral work stations, one national-level R&D center and more than 300 enterprises founded by overseas returnees. The park has gathered lots of talent, with more than 1,000 overseas returnees, 86 people with PhD degrees and 136 people with master’s degrees.

The newly-planned northern part of the park covers 33.3 hectares and is divided into four sectors.

1. Build a Jiading Silicon Valley centering on high-tech R&D and incubation.

2. Build a service area with multifunctional life services including business clubs, training centers, hotels and restaurants.

3. Build a high-end manufacturing plant with intelligent security technology and advanced real estate management.

4. Offer land for high-tech manufacturing plants in order to attract well-known high-tech companies both home and abroad to build plants here.

The park will continuously gather science and technology powers through its visionary planning; its industrial focus on manufacturing automobile parts, electronics, medical equipment and electromechanical fittings; and relying on its standard design procedures and innovative system integrated with production, research and development, and comprehensive supporting services.
