The “2016 Suggestion Conference for High-end Foreign Experts from Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei” was held in Tianjin from July 5 to 8.

More than 50 high-end experts from 11 other countries were invited to the event. Three of them have won the Chinese government “Friendship Award”, and 20 were included in state or regional talent plans.

The foreign experts visited special spots of interest and major talents’ introduction projects in Tianjin. The tour helped foreign experts learn about the achievements and local conditions of Tianjin.

They also held academic communication activities. The foreign experts were categorized into four groups to introduce the latest ideas, innovation achievements and development trends in their specialties.

At the suggestion conference, more than 50 foreign experts offered over 80 suggestions on how to improve the management and service of foreign experts, and how to enhance cooperation between experts from different countries, to help the government improve policies in this area.

The event was organized by the administrations of foreign experts’ affairs in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.
