The coastal city of Qingdao, in Eastern China's Shandong province, helped expose its products and firms in the 2015 Frankfurt Christmas Gift and Stationery Fair, which was held at Germany's Frankfurt Exhibition Center, from Jan 30 to Feb 3. The city's participation in the fair has resulted in an accrued turnover of up to $13.8 million from sales.

The positive result from the five-day event was partly due to high-quality stationery products from the city's 16 local enterprises. The Qingdao government has announced that it will encourage local enterprises to take part in the 2016 fair as well.

As one of the most important fairs in Christmas calendar, the German Christmas gift and stationery fair attracted a total of 86,200 buyers from 154 countries from around the world.
