Li Qun, Party secretary of Qingdao, met with Rajendra Singh Pawar, chairman of India’s National Institute of Information Technology (NIIT) on September 18.

The government officials held working-level talks with the Indian delegation on building a training base and working with Qingdao University to cultivate experts in the service outsourcing industry.

“India and Qingdao have been expanding various exchanges by governmental, civil and commercial channels,” said Li. “In particular, NIIT has worked with Qingdao University to foster more than 1,000 students in software engineering, promoting Qingdao’s service outsourcing industry.” He hoped that the sides could become good partners enjoying mutual benefits.

Pawar extended his thanks to Li’s warm welcome and said that with the government’s strong support, NIIT would strive to cultivate more IT experts for Qingdao.
