"In a distant place there lives a pretty girl." The story of the melodious folk song tells the legend of Qinghai. In the Qinghai garden at the 2014 Qingdao International Horticulture Expo, visitors can feel the unique human landscape and the beautiful natural scenery of the plateau of Qinghai.

The Qinghai garden covers an area of about 885 square meters. Themed on the folk song "In a distant place there lives a pretty girl", Qinghai garden guides visitors into a landscape where there is a sculpture representing the name of the song; and a Majiayao pottery culture wall. Meanwhile, visitors can also appreciate the mound of Mani stones which transfers its auspicious blessings for the World Horticultural Exposition, Sanjiangyuan's wetland miniature landscape, the populus euphratica growing in the desert and the plateau landscape elements in the Qinghai garden.
