Zhangjiagang government inked a deal with Huawei Technologies Co on April 9 in an attempt to join hands to promote the construction of smart cities.

In recent years, Zhangjiagang has paid a lot of attention to the development of smart cities, cloud computers and big data and also rolled out a series of policies to promote high-tech development.

Under the deal signed between the two sides, Huawei will offer technological support to help improve the city's information infrastructure and boost the city's intelligent manufacturing and big data industries.
