Zhangjiagang city has recently released a temporary rule on the management of industrial leader projects in the city.

The rule has filled the gap in the city’s follow-up management system for talent leader programs and has defined a comprehensive system on identification and approvals, fund earmarking, mid-term analysis and evaluation, development upgrade, elimination and exits of talent programs.

The city aims to improve regulation and management of talent programs and promote the industrialization of those programs through a full management chain.

Zhangjiagang city has designed a few favorable plans to attract overseas professionals and industrial leaders to start projects and businesses in the city, offering financial and policy support to talent in the projects.

The city requires talent from ICT, bio-medicine, new material, new energy and environmental protection, agricultural high-tech, advanced machinery manufacturing and modern service sectors. The projects are based on start-up incubators in the city such as the Zhangjiagang Free Trade Zone, Zhangjiagang Economic & Technological Development Zone, Jiangsu Yangtze International Metallurgical Industrial Park, Zhangjiagang High- and New-Tech Start-up Service Center, and the city’s new science and technology town.
