A photography exhibition, with a theme of "Remember History & Cherish Peace", arrived in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, on Dec 1, after its opening show in Beijing.

The exhibition, held in the library of Jiangnan University, is based on a trip through Asia and Europe called "Peace Long March: Commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Victory of the World Anti-Fascist War".

An interview crew consisting of journalists, entrepreneurs and photographers, took a long march one year ago starting from Lugou Bridge, Beijing, and traversing Russia, Belarus, Poland, Germany and Belgium, to the beaches of Normandy, France.

The "Lugou Bridge Incident", outrageously launched by Japan on July 7, 1937, marked the beginning of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. The Normandy landings on June 6, 1944, started the lengthy Battle of Normandy and resulted in the liberation of Paris and the restoration of the French Republic, a significant turning point in World War II.

The interview crew visited museums, memorial squares and streets that still held traces of the war in six countries. Journalists explored the stories behind the war from local scholars, peace campaigners and veterans, while photographers captured an abundance of images that show the changes of history and express the Chinese people's wish for peace and love.
