Sesame seed cake, also referred to as shaobing in Chinese, is thin and crispy. It is also a popular specialty in Zhouzhuang.

The flaky pastry is shaped like a shoe sole. Made of flour and lard oil, it is crispy outside and soft inside.
Zongzi-shaped candy
The candy's name comes from its shape that looks like a zongzi - traditional Chinese rice-dumpling. The crystal clear candies with some pine nuts inside are another tasty treat in Zhouzhuang.
