Ah-Po Cha, or Grandma Tea, which San Mao mentioned in her letter to Zhang Qihan in 1990 as a must-try in Zhouzhuang, is a folk custom specific to Zhouzhuang where local women gather together in their homes or in teahouses to drink tea, eat, chat, sew and knit. [Photo/zhouzhuang.net]

Grandma Tea is made using rainwater, which locals call tianluoshui or "water falling from heaven", stewed in purple clay teapots, which is said to help produce a delicate fragrance and refreshing taste.
