Zhou Yin and Wu Qian, from the city of Wuxi, Jiangsu province, built an intangible cultural heritage demonstration area near a small village in Jiangyin to integrate local cultural resources with the tourism industry.

When one steps into the area, the renovated ancient buildings echo the Ming and Qing dynasties. Trucks carrying doors and windows in traditional patterns can be seen driving in and out. To date, the construction of 11 historic buildings has been completed.

Zhou's family has many craftsmen, who have restored the original design drawings of the old houses. Except for adding some new materials, they kept the original architectural style.

The ancient buildings are equipped with old-style furniture for visitors to experience traditional cultural moments like drinking a cup of tea, enjoying the fragrance of flowers and incense and playing the Guqin (a Chinese musical instrument).

According to Zhou, he will demonstrate the furniture, incense, tea, music and flowers of bygone times here in the future to build a tourism attraction featuring traditional culture.
