This year's Eco Forum Global will be held in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on July 12-13.
The event's first forum will have a theme of green economy, focusing on realizing China's carbon dioxide emission peaks and carbon neutrality goals. It will include one summit conference and two sub-forums.
The summit conference will be held on the morning of July 11, inviting about 120 domestic and international guests. The two sub-forums will be held on the afternoon of the same day, to discuss the integration of finance and health care and finance supporting the transformation to the low-carbon economy.
At the forum, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and Industrial Bank are scheduled to sign a green finance cooperation agreement with the Guizhou Provincial Government.
The forum will also release China's smart city monitoring and management platform for carbon neutrality, a research report on the global environment, as well as announce the official website of "carbon neutrality 2060".
In addition, an online and offline forum themed around green, low carbon and cyclical development – co-hosted by Tsinghua University and Guizhou University – will be held on July 12 in Guiyang.
It will release global cases on dealing with climate change, give a presentation on Guizhou's experience in ecological civilization education and green university construction and present a collection of papers on ecological civilization construction achievements.
