At the sixth session of the 14th Guiyang Municipal People's Congress on Feb 25, deputies deliberated the government report and spoke highly of Guiyang's achievements in 2020.
During the past year, Guiyang successfully controlled the spread of the novel coronavirus and realized work resumption, maintaining its position among China's top provincial capitals for economic growth rate.
The work report reviewed the work and development of Guiyang and Guian New Area in 2020. It also set targets for digital economy upgrades, the integrated development of Guiyang and Guian, the development of the real economy, investment and consumption promotion, rural revitalization, enhancing opening-up and other areas in 2021.
The work report inspired the deputies to contribute to Guiyang and Guian's development in the next five years, making the area an economic leader in Guizhou and Southwest China.
