The annual two sessions of Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will soon be held at Guiyang International Conference & Exhibition Center in Guanshanhu district. The preparation work for the two sessions is currently underway.
The sixth session of the 14th Guiyang municipal people's congress will be held from Feb 25 to 28. Deputies will listen to and deliberate Guiyang's government work report, examine the implementation of Guiyang's national economic and social development plan for 2020 and approve the draft plan for national economic and social development in 2021.
The deputies will examine Guiyang's implementation of fiscal budgets in 2020 and the draft plan for 2021. They will also listen to and deliberate the work reports of the standing committee of the Guiyang municipal people's congress, Guiyang intermediate people's court and Guiyang municipal people's procuratorate, and participate in the session's election.
The fifth session of the 12th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Guiyang committee will be held from Feb 24 to 27. CPPCC members will listen to and deliberate the CPPCC Guiyang committee's reports on the proposals delivered at last year's meeting, review this year's submissions and join the sixth session of the 14th Guiyang municipal people's congress.
Guiyang-based officials from the Party, government and armed forces, and previous chairpersons of the CPPCC Guiyang committee will join the session.
