"Guizhou Silver" is a new public brand that represents traditional silver products from Southwest China's Guizhou province. The brand was unveiled at a launch ceremony on Aug 10 in Guiyang, the provincial capital.
The brand aims to attract first-rate silver production companies and craftsmen and promote the province's tradition of silver ornament craftsmanship.
During the launch ceremony, the brand released five product categories: standard silver products, top-quality silver ornaments, food-grade silverware, handmade pure silver products and original silver products.
Companies that fit these categories and produce products in Guizhou with local cultural elements can join the brand. The stores should use the unified shop front, decorations, displays and packaging, as well as provide standardized after-sale services.
Qualified companies can use the brand for free and will receive support with sub-brand credit certification, design and development, employee training, marketing, financing services, property rights protection and raw material supply.
According to a person involved with the brand, "Guizhou Silver" will increase the confidence of both investors and workers involved in the silver industry. It will also provide consistent promotion for Guizhou's featured silver products and attract more tourists to the province.
