Scenic spots that were closed due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, have been gradually reopening to the public since March 21.
Visitors are required to purchase tickets with their real names, bring valid certificates, have their body temperature measured, and scan Guizhou health QR codes before entering the scenic spots.
Currently, the Nanjiang Grand Canyon in Kaiyang county is only open to visitors from Guizhou and other low risk areas in China, while its daily reception volume of visitors should not exceed 50 percent of its maximum daily average capacity.
Guizhou Wildlife Park in Xiuwen county can receive up to 4,000 visitors per day, while Huahua town in Yangchang town, Wudang district has a daily limit of 7,000 visitors and recommends that groups tourists should be limited to a maximum of 30 people to maintain social distancing measures. Some of the facilities at Huahua town area remain closed.
Guiyang's scenic spots have released preferential policies, such as free entrance for medical workers and buy one, get one free ticket promotions. As the epidemic eases, more scenic spots will open to the public next week.
