The Guiyang development and reform commission in Southwest China's Guizhou province has supervised the resumption of the city's major projects since measures for the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus were implemented.
Guiyang has a total of 243 provincial major projects. By Feb 21, 134 projects have continued, while all the other projects will resume construction by March 1 except those stopped for objective reasons.
To guarantee that the projects finish on schedule, the commission has made detailed arrangements to promote the resumption of the major projects, setting a daily scheduling mechanism and specialists for each project.
The commission established five service teams to solve the difficulties faced by the projects, spanning issues related to employment, medical supplies, mechanical materials, and accommodation management.
The commission has collected 75,000 face masks to solve the shortage of protective materials, launched 22 measures to support company development, and applied 20 million yuan ($2.85 million) of provincial budgetary funds to accelerate the construction of the Jiangjunshan section of the Guiyang public health center for novel coronavirus pneumonia treatment.
