The Guiyang municipal people's government signed a cooperative agreement with China City Infrastructure Group Co Ltd (CCIG) on Sept 17, in a bid to stimulate the city's infrastructure development by building more educational facilities in the future.
Guiyang Vice-mayor Tang Xinglun and vice-president of CCIG Gao Dayong signed the agreement on behalf of both sides, under the witness of Guiyang Mayor Chen Yan and Li Chaobo, board chairman of the group.
CCIG is an international company focusing on city investment, construction, and operation. It plans to develop Guiyang into an international education city with the integration of famous educational brands, well-known hospitals, and high-end communities.
According to the agreement, a well-equipped international school, integrating kindergarten, primary school, secondary school, and high school, will be set up through the introduction of Wellington College International.
Participants at the signing ceremony also included Liu Xiaoping, director of the Guiyang bureau of finance, Xu Junsong, the Guiyang government's secretary-general as well as other government officials and representatives of the group.
