The People's Government of Guiyang signed a framework agreement for strategic cooperation with Zhongguancun Science Park's administrative committee on Sept 8, 2013 to open the Zhongguancun Science Park in Guiyang (中關(guān)村貴陽科技園) in the city.
Zhongguancun Science Park in Guiyang is a perfect combination of three state-level demonstrations, aiming to promote the economic restructuring and upgrading of Guiyang, become the world's most influential science and technology Innovation center, and build the city a national ecological civilization model.
The People's Government of Guiyang signed 106 strategic cooperation projects respectively with the Beijing Municipal Commission of Economic Information, Science and Technology Commission, Bureau of Investment Promotion in Beijing and Zhongguancun Science Park's administrative committee.
Among them, there are 30 industrial projects with a total investment of 26.38 billion yuan ($3.98 billion), 16 science and technology service projects with a total investment of 18.552 billion yuan, 23 scientific research projects with a total investment of 1.57 billion yuan, 36 talent projects with a total investment of 59 million yuan, and an incubator construction project.
The Zhongguancun Science Park in Guiyang's preparatory leading group and preparatory committee were established to better rely on Zhongguancun's resource advantages on science and technology, talent, and project brands. In addition, they were implemented to further accelerate the construction of the park, accelerate the development of high-tech industries and modern manufacturing industries in Guiyang. The preparatory committee consists of offices, policy research groups, industrial planning teams, project promotion teams, infrastructure planning and construction teams, investment promotion teams, institutional setting teams and work supervision teams.
