The 2018 China International Big Data Fusion Innovation & Artificial Intelligence Global Competition, an important part of the Big Data Expo held annually in Guiyang every May, kicked off on Feb 10.
People interested in participating can register on http://www.chinaopen.ai and submit their projects on the application of artificial intelligence in industry, medical care, transportation, agriculture, education and people's lives.
Six selection trials will take place in China, the US and Israel. The semifinal and final competitions are scheduled to take place in late May 2018 in Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province.
The competition was organized by the committee of the China International Big Data Industry Expo and technology companies such as Intel (China) Co.
Winners will have the chance to exhibit their products and services at the Big Data Expo in May, and are eligible to apply for logistic and capital support, according to the committee. They will also receive a total of five million yuan ($781,100) in prize money.
The competition serves as a global platform for exchanges in the field of artificial intelligence with more than 50 industry experts and 100 investors taking part. It is expected that the AI competition and platform will inject vitality into the big data industry, and bring about further economic and social development.
