Chinese and British experts gathered at the dialogue to seek cooperation in cross-border crowdfunding. They spoke highly of Guiyang's contribution in the nation's crowdfunding development.

Richard Heygate from McKinsey, United Kingdom, is optimistic about China's crowdfunding industry. He believes that rapidly emerging businesses require a convenient and fast source of financing. Crowdfunding, which raises money from raising a large number of people via the Internet, is what they are looking for.
Luo Mingxiong of Shanghai Jiao Tong University said China's crowdfunding should learn from the Europe and the US. "We don't have a comprehensive information disclosure system and also lack qualified investors, compared with the crowdfunding markets in Europe and the US. Crowdfunding still faces an ambiguous situation and many investors are worried about its uncontrollable risks."
The dialogue between Guiyang and London is a major part of the 2015 World Crowdfunding Conference, which opened in the city on Oct 24.
