According to the statistics of Guizhou Airport Group Co, the growth of passenger throughput in Guizhou's 10 airports, which reached 26.2 percent in 2014, was much higher than the 16 percent national average growth rate. Guizhou's growth rate leads among China's 31 provinces.
"The reinforcement of opening-up and the development of the economy brings benefits to the civil aviation industry in Guizhou, which served 14.2 million passengers in 2014, a 26.2 percent increase from 2013," said Shen Dong, chairman of Guizhou Airport Group.
Longdongbao Airport in Guiyang, capital city of Guizhou province, served 12.5 million passengers in 2014, which accounted for over 88 percent of Guizhou's passenger throughput during the year.
