On December 23, the Hualing Smart Technology Industrial Development Center, which belongs to the China National Committee on Ageing (CNCA), held an experts workshop to discuss the planning and construction of a national pilot smart nursing home in Anshun, Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The smart nursing home is developing rapidly thanks to supportive methods concerning service industries on ageing, health and telemedicine.

According to Jiang Zhenghua, head of the CNCA, the construction of the pilot nursing home should follow the principle that it is elderly-oriented and provides a safe, convenient and comfortable environment for the elderly.

"Good experiences and work methods gained via the pilot homes will be applied to future nursing homes and the elderly service industry," said Jiang.
