Anshun, a city in Southwest China's Guizhou province, launched its first self-service machine for personal credit inquiries on March 21.
The machine is the first of its kind to appear in Anshun city after several other cities in Guizhou launched their own versions in the past months or so.
The machine was installed at the Anshun branch of the Bank of Guizhou. It only requires citizens' ID cards to scan and enables them to print their personal credit records within a few minutes.
This new machine has shortened the amount of time that local people previously had to spend when they processed such matters at service windows. The branch currently has self-service machines at two different service points.
A senior staffer from the Anshun branch said they plan to use the machine as the main way for citizens to acquire their personal credit records, but will keep service windows open to help when there were too many people waiting to use the machine.
