A cooperation memorandum, between Guiyang municipal government and Dell, concerning the cooperation in the fields of establishing Dell Guiyang laboratory, cloud computing platform and big data talent training , has been reached on January 20.
It is reported that the laboratory, jointly built by Dell and Guiyang municipal government, will put on efforts on developing supporting, server and storage technologies and network techniques.
Meanwhile, the cloud computing platform will provide services for at least 200,000 corporate customers after its formal operation.
"With the development of big data technology, Guiyang pay highly attentions to the big data industry and electronic information industry, and Guiyang will provide high-level services for corporate customers," said Chen Gang, the Party secretary of Guiyang municipal government.
"Dell has the advantages in technology, R&D, and market to support Guiyang's big data industry development," said Marius Haas, the chief commercial officer of Dell.
