The National Development and Reform Commission recently approved Southwest China’s Guizhou province as a national Internet of Things (IOT) pilot to set up demonstration projects concerning IOT, cultivate backbone companies in the field of IOT and build a comprehensive IOT application demo in Southwest China.
The featured industries in Guizhou will be taken as leading industries to boost the development of IOT and technology integration concerning industrial manufacturing, tourism, energy conservation and environment protection, trading and transportation.
Meanwhile, Guiyang, capital city of Guizhou, will be developed as the center of the IOT pilot to integrate advantages from surrounding regions to promote city management and social undertakings.
