Since the opening of the Guiyang-Guangzhou high-speed railway and by the end of December 28, Huangguoshu Waterfall has welcomed 3,377 tourists, who came to the scenic spots by the newly-opened Guiyang-Guangzhou high-speed rail.
Though December is not a hot season for the Huangguoshu Waterfall, since the opening of the high-speed railways, there has been a long queue of people in front of the entrance, most of whom are from Guangdong province.
"We have sent a group of people to promote and recommend the beautiful scenic spot of Huangguoshu this June," said Xu Qirong, manager of Huangguoshu Marketing Company.
Su Xijian, a tourist from Hong Kong, said,"The operation of the Guiyang-Guangzhou high-speed rail shortened the travel time between Guangzhou and Guiyang, and I will recommend Guizhou to my friends."
Miss Lan, a tour guide said: "Before the operation of the rail line, it took four days to reach Guiyang from Guangzhou. The more convenient way was flight but it cost 3,000 yuan ($500) on average. After the opening of the rail line, it will only take 2,000 yuan ($330) on average and save more time."
