To ensure ecological construction complies with legal aspects, the Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture has published its Judicial Protection Green Book on Qiandongnan’s Environmental Resources.
According to the green book, in recent three years, illegal activities involving massive deforestation and environmental pollution has been on the rise.
Yang Fangcheng, vice president of the Qiandongnan prefecture intermediate people's court said the green book has summarized the achievements and shortcomings of Qiandongnan in environmental construction, and has released official data regarding deforestation and environmental pollution, examining typical environmental cases as well as giving suggestions.
The green book reinforces the governance on deforestation. It will take a zero tolerance attitude on deforestation activities and hand out punishments not only from the administrative point of view but also on a judicial aspect.
Qiandongnan's judicial practices of ecological civilization have made many breakthroughs.
At the theoretical level, Qiandongnan prefecture published Opinions on the Judicial Protection on Qiandongnan;s Environment to provide strong theoretical guidance for Qiandongnan’s ecological construction.
In dealing with environmental cases, there is a professional law enforcement team to investigate cases from the criminal, civil and administrative aspects to make sure all illegal activities are meted out reasonable punishment.
