Bama Yao autonomous county in Hechi has issued a number of preferential policies in recent years to attract migrant workers to return home to start their own businesses to advance the county's poverty alleviation efforts.

Small-sum guaranteed loans with discounted interest rates are provided to entrepreneurs who are lacking in startup funds.

Several employment and entrepreneurship training service centers were also established for youths and women in Bama to help them properly carry out their entrepreneurial work.

In addition, the county will periodically adjust the insurance payment rates for basic endowment, unemployment, occupational injury, and maternity to reduce enterprises' operation costs and increase employment.

Since 2017, the county has issued more than 40 million yuan ($5.68 million) in loans with discounted interest, attracting over 5,000 people to return to Bama and start up their own businesses.

To date, 106 e-commerce enterprises and 439 specialized cooperatives have been established in the county, employing more than 20,000 people, of which over 10,000 are registered as impoverished.

A variety of platforms, including recruiting activities, have been set up by the county to help people get employed and re-employed.

Great efforts were also made to expand Bama's labor export bases. To date, the county's labor export bases have grown from?seven to 20, advancing the transfer and employment of rural labor forces.
