The park is located at the foot of Guting Mountain, the highest mountain in central area of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 6 km away from the eastern outskirts of Liuzhou city alongside the Liujiang River.

It covers 9,300 hectares of forest area and was named by the State Forestry Department in 1993 as "National-level Forest Park.

The park is bestowed with green towering trees. The birds’ twitter and fragrance of flowers add to its charm and vitality. The various views of forest, land, water city and culture are in perfect harmony, leaving it a unique feature combining beautiful scenery, comfortable environment and clean air.
