Zhanjiang qipao party showcases charm of traditional Chinese dress code

Beauty of traditional Chinese women's dresses was once again highlighted in a special cheongsam (qipao) party organized in Zhanjiang on May 17. Themed "Cheongsam Glamour Night", the party attracted many qipao fans and traditional culture lovers.
Participants showed their love for the traditional Chinese culture and expressed their ideas about qipao during the party.

"Every woman has a cheongsam dream. We love qipao not only because it can accentuate our graceful figure, but also due to its deep cultural connotations," said an attendant named Tan, who is a calligrapher.
Another participant named Shang said, "I always love qipao. I was deeply attracted to the idea of this party when I saw the theme on the invitation card. I am glad that there is a platform for people to express and promote the glamour of qipao."
The party aims to promote traditional Chinese cheongsam dress and support a worldwide cheongsam campaign sponsored by the China Qipao Society.
About 200,000 qipao fans put on their best cheongsam outfits and created spectacular and colorful scenes at events that took place simultaneously in different cities all around the world to promote traditional Chinese culture. They also attempted to set a Guinness world record.
