Foreigner starts up business in Lanzhou

Lim Joon-hee, a South Korean, manages a skin care shop in Lanzhou city, capital of Gansu province, where he has lived for six years.

Lim speaks fluent Chinese with customers. Although his shop is not downtown, it still thrives.

"I dreamed of having my own skin care shop and it became reality in Lanzhou. I plan to introduce more South Korean skin care products to Chinese customers and teach them makeup skills," said Lim.

Lim has been to many Chinese cities and first started his business in Nanning city, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, but it didn't work out.

"I traveled to Lanzhou by chance and found opportunities," Lim said.

He said he has made many friends and the people in Lanzhou were hospitable. "People are willing to show me around when I tour the city."

"I already fell in love with this city and am looking forward to marrying a Lanzhou girl," Lim said.
