A group of 74 Taiwan residents will now be able to rent Pingtan's public housing.

The housing units are a part of Pingtan's low-cost and affordable housing projects. While some housing units will be shared between separate parties, others will be offered to families.

Twenty four Taiwan residents, representing either a group of roommates or an entire family, drew lots to determine room numbers on the morning of Oct 19.

This latest policy intends to make public housing more accessible in Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone with servicepersons and Taiwan residents in Pingtan prioritized.
