Wenzhou in Zhejiang province will ramp up cooperation and communication with the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone in Fujian, said Chen Yixin, Wenzhou’s Party chief, in a trip to Pingtan on March 28.

Pingtan’s experience in cross-Straits cooperation will benefit Wenzhou, which has been recently approved as a cross-Straits private economic zone, he said.

Wenzhou is at the forefront of China’s reform and opening-up strategy, and is known for its vigorous private economy. Increasing communication with Wenzhou will definitely benefit Pingtan’s development, said Li Dejin, director of Pingtan’s administration.
