A total of 32 Taiwan-funded enterprises were established in the county of Pingtan in the first half of the year, accounting for 25 percent of new Taiwan companies in Fujian province, the Pingtan industrial and commercial bureau said on Thursday, on July 18.

The bureau also said that there are now 117 Taiwan-funded enterprises in Pingtan, which constitutes 71 percent of Pingtan's overseas-funded companies, an increase of 28 times compared with three years ago. The Taiwan-funded companies have a registered capital of $208 million and a gross investment volume of $3.39 million dollars.
