The Nanjing High-tech Industrial Zone was established in March 2000 with a planned area of 12 sq km and was approved as a provincial development zone in December 2005.
This is a provincial development area with National Reform and Development Commission and the provincial government approval and a strategic project for the Nanping Party and city government’s social and economic development.
China’s State Council gave the go-ahead to the Xiangyu Bonded Area of Xiamen to begin trials on a bonded logistics zone with a sea port, on Aug 16, 2004, for a 0.7-sq-km area, between the Xiangyu Bonded Area and the Dongdu Port.
