A trade delegation led by Shu Zengtian, the vice mayor of Fuzhou, is expected to fly to Japan today to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the establishment of the sister cities of Fuzhou and Nagasaki.
Fuzhou and Nagasaki forged to become sister cities on October 20, 1980, and since then they have been exercising an upward trend in official and grass-root exchanges. The past three decades have witnessed remarkable achievements in their economic and cultural cooperation. By the end of this June, Fuzhou has received 1,757 visiting delegates from Nagasaki and sent 373 delegates to learn know-how in Japan.
The delegation will attend a series of celebrations to mark their friendship of the past 30 years. They also will visit the local government and have a field research on the local projects to seek cooperation.
In addition, they will fly to Indonesia and start a promotional campaign of Fuzhou in an effort to inform Indonesian investors of their development strategies and business environment. They will also visit local enterprises run by overseas Chinese and major local business giants.
