A tourism pedestrian system is planned along the road between No.1 Port and Baicheng Beach in Xiamen, according to reports.
There are several tourism spots along the road, such as Gulangyu, Xiamen University, Nanputuo Temple, Shapowei Art Zone and Zeng Cuo An, etc. In order to link all the tourist attractions, a footpath is now being planned and residents will be able to admire the scenery along the coastal area in the near future.
Small open areas, green landscape and recreation areas will be set up along the footpath to create a warm and comfortable walking environment.
A cultural corridor will also be built in the Xiangang area, the old area which boasts the most historical characteristics in the city.
In addition, a health footpath which will link Bishan Temple, Hongshan Temple and Wanshi Mountan, is also on the agenda, according to reports.
