A website for people to proceed with administrative procedures and public service in Fujian province went into operation on Dec 29.

The portal (www.fjbs.gov.cn) aims to integrate government departments with functions of administrative approval and public service where visitors can apply service or query information by themselves 24/7, according to an official with the provincial Development and Reform Commission.

More than 60 percent of governments at city and county levels, and 39 departments under the direct jurisdiction of the provincial government, have settled on the platform. They will altogether be able to handle 21,665 types of matters, including 12,911 concerning administrative approval and 8,754 related to public service, he added.
