A delegation from the State Grid Fujian Electric Power Co visited the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone (PCPZ) late last month to discuss the construction of a grid with local officials.

Key to the project is a strong structure which will make possible the transmission of electricity in a safer, faster manner and increase the stability of the whole system. The company will strive to build a first-class grid system in Pingtan, according to general manager Zhang Lei.

Power supply plays a vital role in the development of the economy and society and Pingtan attaches great importance to grid construction, said Li Dejin, director of PCPZ’s administrative committee.

Li suggested the company speed up construction, lay solid foundations while strengthening management and set up a negotiation mechanism between government departments and enterprises.
